About Socialising Buddies Breaks

Meet the team behind Socialising Buddies Breaks

Hi! We’re Socialising Buddies Breaks and we offer fully supported holidays in the UK and abroad for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities.

Our story started with Socialising Buddies, a community support agency based on the Isle of Wight. The incredible team of dedicated support staff continue to help people of all ages to live their best life, gain independence and thrive everyday. With a love of shared experiences, our buddies plan and support days out, activity nights, help at home, exercise classes and so much more.

For many years we’ve offered holidays and day trips to our lovely clients. Following great feedback, we’re now expanding that same trusted approach into the wider world of travel. We’re offering supported holidays in the UK and abroad to adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities.

If you need a little extra support during your trip, our buddies can offer 1:1 support. To find out more about this service, please reach out to us via the Contact Us page.

ABTA and ATOL Protected Holidays

We’re currently in the process of becoming ABTA and ATOL protected, so you can book with confidence knowing your journey is in safe hands.

Carl

Support Worker

Hello, I’m Carl, nice to meet you! I’ve been part of Socialising Buddies for nearly four years now, and I absolutely love what I do. I’ve built so many great connections with our clients, supporting them in their day-to-day lives, helping them step out of their comfort zones, try new things, and discover just how much they’re capable of. Watching someone’s confidence grow and seeing the fun they have along the way is the best part of my job. I’m really passionate about making sure everyone feels supported and included. When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family and catching up on my hobbies! You’ll usually find me watching F1, gaming, sim racing, in the comic shop or just enjoying anything ‘nerd’.

“I recently visited Butlins Bognor Regis for the adult weekender with the buddies. We stayed at a lovely hotel and did activities such as crazy golf, darts and had meals out with evening entertainment which was Peter Andre. I had a lovely weekend with Mark, Charlotte and friends. I cannot wait to go again next year”.
